Wednesday is the evening when casual chess in Valencia is easiest to find. The page of C.D. Basilio says its members usually get together from seven to nine for friendly games in the chess hall at La Petxina; whether a non-member may sit in is not stated. Across town CHESSNGO starts its weekly blitz at the Campoamor bar at half past six, by prior sign-up.

Basilio lists a level 2 group and an adults group of its school on Wednesdays, though the sign-up form gives no time; the school of the Mislata club meets from half past five to half past seven at the El Quint pavilion; and an undated list of the city's chess spots says Dama Roja opens every afternoon from Monday to Friday. One Wednesday date sits outside this list: the Games in Mano Meetup group has announced a chess evening on the terrace of Bola en Mano, and its card is filed with the bars.
