Children's chess around Valencia runs through club schools. C.D. Basilio enrols pupils for the school year at La Petxina, with turns by level from Monday to Friday and a yearly fee published on its site. In Mislata the school of the local club meets from Monday to Thursday at the El Quint sports pavilion and takes children and teenagers. The Ciutat Vella club works alongside Basilio and has been the organiser of the municipal sports-school programme for the youngest, and CHESSNGO adds children's classes in small groups.

Two tournaments are made for them. The Torneig Escolar "Mossèn Fenollar" turns the Plaça de Patraix into an open-air playing hall in early autumn, and the Blanc i Negre Animació tournament in late spring is for under-twelves only, played in a school hall as part of a family day.
